At least where I live, it is perfectly legal to drive around with an RPG, a heavy machine gun, or hand grenades in your car. (These items may need to be registered with the ATF and appropriate tax stamp paid for.) And no one even thinks twice about it. So even in the most permissive state in the country we have still drawn lines.
There was a guy a while ago who had his own tank (complete with a working gun on it). He took some videos do going thru drive thrus and getting fast food with it.
