Eventually, GDP is roughly the same as median income times the number of people.
America has a big population and also has a huge middle class, with a high median income compared to most other countries.
Some countries like Luxembourg have an even wealthier middle class but they have a small population.
Russia, India, China, Brazil have big populations but their middle class is small and even the middle class’s income is quite low compared to America.
