Apparently several local foods establishments stepped up and are keeping the first responders well fed. One even shut down to the public just to keep making food for them.

Donut place. I saw that. Very nice.

Even with sprinklers, dumping all that water usually results in a total loss. They’re more of a safety thing so people in a large building can get out.

And especially multi-story buildings so that a 1st floor fire doesn't take out a 50 story building.

Just got word they are not going to rebuild. Not sure of the details behind it.

It’s probably cheaper to simply buy an existing building elsewhere.

Don't know. Martins Appliance occupies the other side of the building and they are not reopening either.

This happened locally with a barber shop. The insurer took about a year to do the payout (they covered rent in a comparable building whilst doing that) and the payout to rebuild was astronomical. Much much cheaper to simply buy a new building.

The owner of the old building pocketed the cash and the old building sits derelict. It’ll probably get torn down eventually.

I'm sure Grace will be along soon to add to this.

A few coworkers have family and friends that work there and they got an email yesterday stating they are not rebuilding. Back in the day, they had three stores. Now they have none.
