i know little of EM, but his name and various projects are often in news reports.

It might be interesting to witness what unfolds with EM’s purchase of twitter (the reality, not emotional speculation).

Meanwhile, all 11 Mennonite Twitter users rapidly altered their profiles, so as not to pass up the opportunity to get a free truck …

From my detached pov, this thing strikes me as similar to DJT running for POTUS in 2016.
i was SURE he wasn’t at all interested in the office, why would he be?! how wrong was i?!
Threats of so many to migrate to Canada “in the event,” many were hopeful, nope. It didn’t happen.

From the latest earnings report, Twitter was lying about users and had inflated that number. If Twitter backs out, they have to pay Musk $1 billion. If Musk backs out, he has to pay Twitter $1 billion. He has said he is not buying it for economics. I do not think he will back out. Soon the BB and some others will get unbanned and Twitter will clean up a lot of mess before the time Musk takes over. It is already happening.

I think he will buy it, clean it up, it will stay about the same level it is, Truth Social will raise since it will have Donald Trump. DJT will get reelected and will use Truth as an official platform. Twitter will become less relevant.
