Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

I've tried reading this for content and can't make heads or tails of it. Writing for content also can't be over valued. Could you rephrase or restate this a bit more clearly? :)
i can try. i wasn’t comfortable commenting, anyway.

When Robert wrote to Max, “I think this is a legitimate expression, but needed to be less targeted,” (i understood) Robert to not agree/disagree with Max, he was looking for (forum) opinions to be less personal/“targeted.”

When Ken responded with “.. flinging around utterly baseless allegations ..” (i understood) this to be accusing Max of lying, which went far beyond what Robert wrote. Robert didn’t suggest Max was lying. He was clarifying forum etiquette.

i probably was beyond forum etiquette by commenting. i wanted to keep it brief. i trusted mods would deal with me, if need be.
and .. i may not have read correctly. i gave it my best effort. i don’t hesitate to read and read again+again. i want to understand what i’m reading.

i’m not fast. i try to get what’s there. i don’t consider myself to be a good reader. i make a concerted effort. :)

Part of my difficulty in understanding your comment(s) is the parentheses. The second set above is clear enough, but the first set is not just nonstandard but obfuscatory. "I understood" is part of the sentence, which can't be understood without those words. I normally read without the parentheses first, then go back and see how the parenthetical phrase modifies the meaning (in this case, it doesn't -- it's an integral part of the meaning).

So if the parentheses around "lies" are omitted, it becomes almost readable. But if "legitimate expression" does not imply lying, there's also a distinction between "allegations" (even if baseless or completely wrong) and lying.

Wife:
When I read Max's comment, and apparently this is how others took it as well, I took it as him accusing Ken of pedophelia, which is a very strong accusation to make without further evidence. If that was not intended, perhaps it should be clarified.

I think that Ken's position is wrong, and that good arguments can be made on scriptural and other grounds. That said, the best and truest argument can be lost by resorting to slander/character assassination, and as Christians, we should be able to disagree while still following the golden rule. I hate people assuming everyone who advocates for biblical gender roles endorses abuse/hates women, or acting like I must be a battered woman just because I wear a dress and a covering, so I merely advocate we extend others the same grace, knowing that God even wants our online enemies to be saved. We don't want our behavior to turn others away from our Savior.

I'm out of this conversation now.

How would you go about reaching this lost person? Or is your focus on how evil these people are?

Accusation of what? You could just answer the question

Or you could rephrase the question instead of impugning my motives.
