Never checked it out.

But since David Bercot was brought up I would like to recommend two of his CD's that I think should be on every newcomer(or seeker)'s shelf. I was told by Mennonites to avoid his stuff until on here Ernie suggested this one: Finding Fellowship in the 21st Century https://www.scrollpublishing.com/store/ ... wship.html and it was very helpful.
And yesterday I listened to: On Being a Radical Christian https://www.scrollpublishing.com/store/product138.html which was a great reminder.

I have listened to the series, well worth the cost in my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback.

As far as David Bercot goes, the Mennonites I've talked to think highly of his books. I've had several interesting conversations pertaining to his writing. Particularly with a few over 60 aged Mennonites. On a strange note, I was at a Mennonite historical society archive/library and they were clueless as to who Bercot or Taylor even was. (Mennonite USA)

Was this honestly surprising to you? I assume you refer to MCUSA?

Those men would not be as well known in less conservative settings. David Bercot is well known to Old Order people through Pathway Publishers but Dean Taylor would not be as widely known.

It was... That was some of the first books I ran into at a fundamental Mennonite church. I figured they had read them and discarded the arguments... at least someone who was into history that is...

There is also a great secular author, Kevin Kruse who wrote "One Nation under God: How Corporate America Created Christian America"

Bercot and Taylor are not ethnic Anabaptist so some liberal people aren’t interested in them. However, I have run into a fair number of more liberal minded folks who are aware of Bercot’s books; he seems to be influencing a rather broad spectrum.
