Actually I think we (I mean the West, not just the US) are at this point in time the world's apex society in that the present global order is founded and maintained by Western nations, who are also its cultural bellwethers. Even the Asian powers such as China and India are highly dependent on the West economically. That doesn't mean that a Western spiritual collapse would necessarily be an end times event, but it is well positioned to play that role.KingdomBuilder wrote:Perhaps, but even then, we are not, nor should we think of ourselves as, the apex society.
