Good Things God

This is a thread to proclaim the goodness of God. No politics allowed. No debate allowed. Just proclaiming the goodness of God. It was inspired by the "Good Things Trump" thread - seems like we should spend more time talking about the goodness of God.

God is in control, no matter what is going on around us. The world is dark, but God is our light. And God has called us to the ministry of reconciliation, to be salt and light to this world, proclaiming his glory and power and goodness.

So thankful for the great love of God expressed in His faithfulness.

"Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23

2 Peter 3:8,9
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Innumerable earthly blessings - food to eat, a family, health, roof over our head.

But more importantly, the Spiritual blessings. Salvation- no matter how vile I was, God redeems! No longer a slave to sin, and the giving of His Spirit which turns even the most difficult trials into blessings.

God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow- He never changes. Very comforting in our ever changing crazy world.
