I was not familiar with The Chapel or Scott Chapman before today but watched this on quarantine and found it compelling. I’d be interested in you all’s take on this.

This looks interesting, i’m unsure.
5 minutes in, i have doubts.

i begin pretty convinced that not all authentic Christians are going to “look” and “present” identically. that God allows this, and He will determine outcomes. that Christians are to have quite a lot of tolerance and respect for one another, trusting God to do the sorting-out.

i can accept there are many ways of worship, the end goal aligns.
God will judge, and He is adamant that He will judge.

My response to the opening scenario, people of various Christian paths gathered for one purpose, worship, is positive, not negative.

ok, ok. i watched in entirety.

i’m still a little confused about the first 5 minutes.
i don’t object to worship of God. different groups have different approaches. it’s one part of belief.

i appreciate much of what he’s saying, esp the part about focused study of the NT as they did. good idea. lots of good points around that.

i don’t see how a focused study of Jesus’ life could overlook how He put God, His Father first, this stands out (to me). i think followers are remiss to ignore this. Jesus was God-centered, even as He is God, Himself. His love, obedience, and humility to His Father are staggering. (to me.)

Jesus’ 1st commandment is the same as the OT. God first.
getting that right, prepares for the 2nd, and all instructions. imho.

the chart is interesting, but, where is God?
maybe a circle where “us going to heaven” is pointing?
heaven came to us through Jesus.

i appreciate Scott Chapman’s heart for Jesus. i’m puzzled over a few things.
