If I absolutely had to buy a phone right now I’d probably get an Apple refurbished 12 Mini or 12 Pro and pay for two extra years of AppleCare+ on it.
Maybe you should have sat in his store, told him you would buy it online at AT&T, and then pick it up at his store:steve-in-kville wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 4:29 pm This just got interesting.
Made the voyage out to the AT&T store. Guy behind the counter tells me he can't sell me a phone since we have pre-paid plans. I explained that it shouldn't matter, a SIM card is a SIM card no matter what phone it's in.
Nope, doesn't have anything that works on my plan in stock.
So I went on eBay and found a Motorola Moto G that checked all the boxes. Problem solved (hopefully)
I was tempted to tell him I've been swapping SIM cards in phones since he was in diapers.... been I instead thanked him and left.RZehr wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 6:00 pmMaybe you should have sat in his store, told him you would buy it online at AT&T, and then pick it up at his store:steve-in-kville wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 4:29 pm This just got interesting.

We've been using Android stuff for years. Does the job. I've bought cars that ran for less than those cost.GoodGirl wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 9:47 am For what it’s worth, we are totally an Apple family.
I like my iPhone & wouldn’t want to switch.
We usually buy the second newest model (so not the newest one) & get good cases, and they tend to last a long time.
We have some pretty old ones that our younger children (tweens & young teens) can do very basic things on.
