DuckDuckGo

Post by JohnHurt »

I use DuckDuckGo for my primary search engine, and it is amazing what is there. A lot of "non-political" items that you would not expect, are being shadow banned by Google, but are on DuckDuckGo. The way to verify this is to enter a search term in both engines, and view the list.

Also on DuckDuckGo your data is not being sold to a 3rd party for advertising, or "whatever".

So, I use DuckDuckGo and dropped using StartPage search engine on my browser, as I believe that is being powered by Google. And I have been very happy with this change.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not after you.
I think I am funnier than I really am.

Have you ever heard of Yippy.com? It bills itself this way:

" Yippy provides unrivaled privacy for its users and delivers fair search results based on balanced algorithms. "

I've only used it a few times, seems okay so far. The more alternatives to Google the better imo.
