I set up a channel for each topic, perhaps each chapter of a book. They aren't threads, they are more like separate chat windows.
Is it possible to set up an email synopsis in Slack? In Skype for Business, we set up an Outlook connection and kept a copy of the whole chat conversation in Outlook.

You just scroll back in a channel. So if you have a channel for Chapter 1, you can scroll back through that history to see the conversation. I can invite you to a Slack team I run if you want to see how that works.

A few were enjoying it and actually had someone do an audio version of the first few chapters. I really laughed at the lady who did the accents for the Amish dialogue.
That's a welcome change from the Amish romances genre.

Most or all of this drama, humiliation, wasted taxpayer money could be spared -
