Re: Instruments in Church service

I'm a bit late to this thread but one thing I've noticed in churches like Weavertown and others retain their acapella worship but sing contemporary music in that format. One service I listened to online sang Hillsong's "10,000 Reasons" acapella. I don't know what to make of that.

Re: Cap/Kapp to Veil - Church Change

My particular church has a lot of black members and it's hard to maintain healthy black hair under a kapp whilst keeping it clean as well. Apparently they are serious about this, having given the Tabernacle Choir a newly abbreviated name.
tbh my first question was what would happen to the choir

Re: Responding to Accusations Against Anabaptists

I'm curious, where do most of these accusations come from? Do they come from non-Anabaptist Christians, or from the Charity branch?

Re: Is it possible for a professional athlete to be a Christian?

In my experience, and this isn't to show any disrespect, but a lot of church elders have differing ideas of what constitutes playing a sport "professionally." I know FOTW discourages any sports or exercise considered "organized" which can mean different things to different people...

Re: Why don't Mennonites Run Hospitals?

Go for it. You misunderstood, I'm busy enough. I was thinking perhaps I would come up with the idea and someone else would do all the work. But I’d guess you could get all menno staff while you’re at it. I’m from the middle of the southeast, not exactly the heart of mennonite or Amish country, ;) y...
