Re: Christians and Trans

Gender “confusion” is a gross sexual perversion. I think a big problem is not treating sexual perverts as they are and instead pretending it’s something okay. Jesus spoke plainly to the woman at the well and told her she was living in sin. When I read that story of the woman at the well in John 4, ...

Re: Browser for Windows 7?

With respect, the way you run security won’t actually prevent security problems. For example, opening something in “Print Preview” has been a source of security holes in the past relating to image rendering. Browsers that can function on the modern Internet won’t be supported or tested on Windows 7...

Re: Poll: Auto Accident Fatalities and Injuries

Pedestrians basically do not have any rights there. You have to cross streets quickly, and if you stop to allow someone to cross in front of you, they are so disbelieving that they won't go. Contrast with New Zealand, where (aside from the city centers) drivers will stop if you look like you might ...

Re: Browser for Windows 7?

Firefox ESR says it supports Windows 7 https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/115.3.1/system-requirements/ Also based on a little bit of Internet research, Waterfox Classic still works with Windows 7. Re: FireFox: At the top of that window it lists Win 7, but at the bottom it says Firefox is no long...

Re: Browser for Windows 7?

Windows 7 has been out of support for over 4 years, which means new security updates aren’t being published. I would not leave such an installation in the field. It would be okay if it didn’t have a web browser or otherwise connect to the open Internet. I appreciate that you are trying to help me. ...

Re: Poll: Auto Accident Fatalities and Injuries

Thinking about it now, I can only remember actually witnessing a single highway accident. (Seen lots of them soon after, including one, as a young person, where as we passed the accident site on the school bus, I saw a man from our congregation hanging out of the open door of his car, his head down ...

Re: Browser for Windows 7?

Win. 7 contains multiple local privilege escalation CVEs so logging out of admin isn’t enough. .... If that is true, then I've "flown under the radar" for somewhere around 15 years or more. (I asked a WBT programmer once how long you could be on-line w/o any virus protection before your c...

Re: Browser for Windows 7?

I still run an XP system. The older children educational games were decent. I have a Windows 3.0 and a Windows 95 laptop somewhere in a closet. Their only meaning of existence is to program older two-way radios (that no one uses anymore). Yeah biggest issue is a hard drive failure… you can’t activa...

Re: Browser for Windows 7?

As long as I do not initiate or accept any administrative action (program installation) the system is secure. I have not used any anti-virus software for possibly up to the past 15 years or more. I never log into the Admin account without first disconnecting the network cable. I also have an OS 10 s...
