Re: Story Time!
I shot a 69, 2 under par, in a local Golf Tournament. But that might not be too meaningful here as I suspect the golfers here are few. Also shot my age at age 71. Done with one good arm and one prosthetic arm. A legend in my own mind.

Re: Story Time!
When a child, I dodged Nazi bombs. I was on a boat that sank and had to tread water until help came (no, dear Watson, it was NOT the HMS Titanic :D ). Later in life I helped to break a herd of feral hogs. Yesterday, I twisted an ankle trying to skip rope with the great grandchild. I believe the fir...

Re: Alistair Begg - walking that fine line ...
One thing a pastor's advice like this does, when perhaps a majority might disagree with him, is it shows just how those who disagree treat a brother-in-the-Lord over a perceived failing. Alistair is not promoting that every Christian should go to any same sex wedding and bring a gift and he said he ...

Re: Alistair Begg - walking that fine line ...
I think there is much truth regarding Phariseeism in the church today especially in groups that have written expectations additional to the scripture itself. And the seeming lack of compassion towards the lost that shows up and results in churches with no real growth. I don't think Alistair's advice...

Re: Christians and Trans
I agree with looking at how Jesus was with sinners of all sorts. The religious people of His day, the Pharisees in particular, had a very hard time on Jesus involvement with sinners. They thought Jesus should 'come out from among them and be separate' and one of their criticisms was Him being a 'fri...

Re: Story Time!
I represented a public school in a spelling match and went out on the first word. Wife: I must know what word you misspelled. The word was 'muscle'. A simple first round word to get the spelling match off and running. I wrote it down correctly but when I said it, I spelled it 'muscel'. When I...
