Re: Natural (God given) immunity is superior

Well if there are people that had covid already and they're being told to get a vaccine for it, it's probably a LOT better for them NOT to get the vaccine.... the point is saving as many lives as possible... I was really just thinking GOD is greater than any vaccine... because GOD is GREAT... That ...

Re: Natural (God given) immunity is superior

John Waldron We come to the end of another week. It seems like a long time that I have been writing these updates and I am sure you all are tired of reading them. Maybe things will settle down again and I can, at a minimum space them out a bit. As usual, I want to give the disclaimer that I am a fam...

Re: Natural (God given) immunity is superior

He makes it clear that he would have taken the vaccine if it had been available. He got Covid and survived. In his opinion he believes his natural immunity is sufficient to protect him. He might be right. Do you think I should allow myself to get Covid so that I might develop natural immunity from C...

Re: Can we make MN less hostile?

I think there are people here who come in riding their hobby horse who see their task here to get other to join their crusade or at least to validate their belief. They must strive to convince the rests of us of their righteousness. To them I say pleas leave us alone or at least listen and learn in ...

"Long ago I used to be a young man, and dear Margaret remembers that for me."

I’m home sitting at my desk with a big mug of coffee early in the morning as is my routine. I read the news, check Facebook, do a little on-line research and sleuthing, and catch up on Mennonet's latest kerfuffles. I unlocked my computer and found where I let off last Wednesday when I had my ambulan...

Re: Hutterites, Bruderhof and Intentional Communities thread

It’s complicated. When I have time I will post a little of the relationships among Hutterian groups as I understand it.

I was a novice member of the Bruderhof Community. My Svat is ethnic Hutterite who became a minister there having married a Bruderhof raised woman.

Re: What it means to me to be Mennonite

I use the term "Mennonite" to distinguish myself from Amish or Hutterites or other branches of the Anabaptist family tree. Mennonites are not really familiar to folks here in New England anyway. But in any case I'm probably closer in belief to Mennonites (generically) than anyone else. Sor...

Pretty in Pink

The day was going to be busy but I was prepared for it. I knew I would be doped up from the TEE (Transesophageal echocardiography) later in the day so I took my training walk early. I paced the entire rectangle of corridor counting my steps (I have a steady measured 1-1/4 foot pace) and determined i...
