Re: By Which Standards Will God Judge Us?
The word Jesus has spoken will judge us on the last day. For more details see the gospel according to Matthew, chapters 7, 13, and 25.

Re: Live USB drives
I don't know much about Linux, but is it practical to replace Windows all together for just internet and email? How safe is it and does it require virus protection like Windows does? I tried to look into Linux, but there's so many different types which confused me. Just internet and email? Sure. Fi...

Re: College Education: "us" versus "them"
Unfortunately, I don't think college is a good path for someone who is 17 or 18 to go down right now. Perhaps that will change. I think things like V.S., Faith Builders, or teaching school are much better paths to go down. Issues of engineering credit allocation notwithstanding, I am pretty much in...

Re: College Education: "us" versus "them"
This depends heavily on the field of study. In my experience, engineering education is nearly or completely devoid of being brainwashed to think like a liberal: learning about Safe Spaces, why orthodox Christianity can't possibly be correct, and why white, heterosexual cisgendered men (especially t...

Re: Live USB drives
Another advantage of live USB drives is that they can be set up to have a persistence file - settings changes and (small) files can be stored on the live USB drive between sessions.

Re: College Education: "us" versus "them"
So maybe I'm totally out of date or mistaken. But I thought colleges were geared more for the practical end of things. For instance, someone apprenticing for a plumber or electrician, or journeyman carpenter has to take a certain number of six week college courses during their apprenticeship (this ...

The Christian and Political News
Should Christians who do not vote follow political news? My observations: Some two-kingdom Christians around me are informed about politics - typically from politically conservative sources. There seems to be more political interest/discussion in the younger men than the older. My current thoughts: ...

Re: Asking for Church Membership??
When someone is already a member of a similar church, they are not starting on the ground floor. These people are simply transferring their membership from one church to the next. Unlike a new applicant, they don't need to prove anything. Usually their old church will send a membership transfer let...

Re: What Do You Regret Is Gone From MD?
Where Luther saw the two kingdoms (governments) as parallel - right and left hand, with spiritual on the one hand and temporal on the other - and both under God's rule, the Anabaptists generally had a more dualistic understanding , where the two kingdoms were separate - the Kingdom of God and the k...
