Re: The Internet - how's it working for you?

Where do you spend time on the Internet? How is that working for you? Discuss ... I spend most of my time on YouTube where I keep my eye on the war in the Ukraine and listen to all sorts of bible teachers and preachers. I also spend time here. I probably spend too much time here as spirituallly spe...

Re: Open or closed Communion ------Why ?

I wish the originator of this thread would return and give his thoughts, after all this input, and whether or not he has changed his view and if changed, why.

Re: Open or closed Communion ------Why ?

Then, (again provided I am understanding you correctly), you follow up by saying that you would be willing to commune with those who do not believe in the inspiration of the New Testament. It seems to me that at some point there's just no solid, fully defensible place to stop and you end up at Suds...

Re: Revival is spreading

My home church is celebrating. Begin at about the 6 minute mark for that chorus we often sang in Christian gatherings.

Re: Revival is spreading

I'm going to take a positive outlook on this. I personally know of those who have gone to 'revival' meetings that continued on from there in a much deeper walk with the Lord. I also know of curious people who attended these, became believers and are serving the Lord today. I am not ignoring the fact...

Re: Open or closed Communion ------Why ?

Really I think the scripture is quite clear on who should take communion and who should not. It is not up to anyone except the person considering participation. 1 Cor 11:28-32 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinke...

Re: What is the 'Church"?

Much of what the NT says about “the church” can’t apply to the Protestant idea of an “invisible church”. For example, how does this global, ephemeral church conduct church discipline? The way I view this is to call the universal church as the one only God knows who live somewhere in the world or ha...

Re: What is the 'Church"?

I'm curious how it is understood that Jesus in one of His parables says to let the wheat grow up with the tares until final judgment day and yet Paul writes in 1 Cor 5:13 to 'Put away the evil from among you.' But if the rooting up be forbidden by Jesus, and we are to abide in patience till the har...
