Re: Does Scripture Support Praying "Against" Evil?
Here's a starter: Jesus taught in Matthew 6 9 “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation...

Re: Peacemaking after the Election
I actually hope they use up all that Soros money that is funding them right now. Less to be used to try to manipulate the elections next time. (Okay, I think I just blew my previous sentences with this line).  but true  As they once said in the 60s: "Peace out, dude!" :l...

Re: Campground Ramblings
Speaking of fires, the Smoky Mountains really are smokey this week: drought has created tinderbox conditions that ignite easily from the hastily tossed tourist cigarette or cigar. I read earlier this week that all the mountain counties in the Southeast US are asking more people to volunteer with the...

Re: MentorLink Leaders' Covenant
5. I WILL DEVELOP LEADERS One of Jesus’ top priorities was to develop leaders. He did not mass-produce leaders but intentionally focused on a small number of them. I affirm that developing leaders as Jesus did calls me to build close, personal relationships with promising men and women, and to inve...

Re: Peacemaking after the Election
In one sense, social media can't be controlled and therefore manipulated. The downside of course is that the sound byte nature of social media fuels visceral/emotional responses instead of logical and well-considered responses. The secular world thrives on this: always has and always will

Re: Christian Fads
Most of these are good examples, but I'm especially wanting some more examples of fads that had an article (mourner's bench) or a book (Prayer of Jabez) or some other definite thing that a fad can be tied to. Please use links with these. My apologies, Ernie. Here's the Oral Roberts link https://en....

Re: Peacemaking after the Election
Everyone seems relieved it's over this morning.
It's all been said.
Put the anxiety to bed.
And we wake up to a new day for serving The Lord, thanks be to God.

Re: Campground Ramblings
The campground breathed a collective sigh of relief this morning. The folks here are tired of BAU (business as usual) in DC. They are also savvy to media bias and make their own choices. RVers seem to be an independent group thinkers: an interesting group of folks. :D Chores today. May all have a bl...

Re: Campground Ramblings
Even with early voting, there was a line of people at the polling location and another line of cars waiting to get into the polling parking lot. They had an officer directing traffic. I had forgotten that today was election day. We didn't have to wait too long to get past the turn for the polling pl...
