Re: Zoom rooms to discuss all things

I like the idea, but given the divisiveness of MN, and the often hostility in the forum, I’m skeptical of such an openforum

Re: Doctrine of Salvation?

Abraham had to do a lot more than just simply have faith; he had to be obedient to the point of leaving the city he was from and later putting his son on the altar. Those were very much real actions and “works”. If a person is thinking in terms of the common non-biblical concept of what 'faith' or ...

Re: Doctrine of Salvation?

Most of the evangelical “Salvation Gospel” neglects important features of the Good News of the Kingdom that Jesus proclaimed. In the very least it treats the whole of Jesus’s message and mission as one of bringing a person to a state by which they will have eternal life when they die. And most formu...

Re: Affiliation

We attend the on-line meeitngs of a loose diaspora associated wit Singing Creek with Dan Z. and others in attendance. It's a rather organic fellowship. Our most common link is that we have all been associated at some time with the Bruderhof communities we seven do some singing out of their books.

Re: Doctrine of Salvation?

But a Christian who feels that heaven is guaranteed just by their faith, as Charles Finney advocated, will not study the Bible or any other useful ethical source. This kind of thing is common among modern Protestants. Hopefully this explains why I am focused on assurance of salvation. This is a gre...

Re: Medical Workers and Religious Objection to Vaccinations

You combine that with my belief on what the modern medical system is becoming/became, and I need to find a different line of work. What that is... I don't know. So far, all the doors have closed. While I personally disagree with your perspective on the modern medical system, I empathize with you. M...
