Someone invented a new word for this cold spell in Illinois - Chiberia. It is pronounced like Chicago. Even Ottawa is not that cold. Although my nephews in Northern Ontario stayed home from church on Sunday; at -45C it was too cold for the horses!

We all still think Saturday night is the night to go to bed early and get ready for Sunday. Do extra chores so there is less to do on Sunday. I went to Toastmasters for several years and i received the most improved award the second year so that is my bit of award bragging. I played crokinole with my wife the other Sunday night because I was too tired to read. I lost 2 games out of three. I don't get awards for crokinole.
