Re: Thanksgiving Meals

Today, we use other means when we can like catch, transport elsewhere and release. You like the idea of just moving the problem somewhere else! Is it better if the house sparrows bother the purple martins at my house? Is it better if your coons are moved to the country where they ear my corn? That ...

Re: Thanksgiving Meals

Where do you get your (biased) information from? Farmers find that contended cows give more milk - cow comfort is high on the progressive dairy farmer's priority, not because of animal rightists, but because contended and healthy cows produce more milk at lower cost and and live longer. What gives ...

Re: Thanksgiving Meals

Regarding justifying the buying of expensive meats, I can't justify in various ways why I do many things. I am far from perfect and sometimes I will spend money on myself quite selfishly when it could be used for more eternal purposes. Whoops got to go and others have posted before I read them. So ...

Re: Thanksgiving Meals

Before the flood God's original intent was for us to not eat meat - Genesis 1:30 - "Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. The killing for meat was ...

Re: Men: How do you dress for Church?

Well, when I said I never wear a T shirt, I meant during the day, in public. What I wear in the bedroom is not up for discussion.

Re: Men: How do you dress for Church?

What frustrates me is how people in conservative circles turn up their noses to people who don't agree with them and/or conform to their dress code. Why should it frustrate you? It seems you must feel guilty. But be assured that people in conservative circles do not all turn up their noses to peopl...

Re: Men: How do you dress for Church?

Threads like this both amuse me and frustrate me at the same time. Over the years I've seen a big deal made about someone's choice of dress for church (both men and women) that fueled a lot of gossiping. Our church is pretty diverse. We have the suit & tie types and we have the blue jeans and a...

Re: Men: How do you dress for Church?

I wear my plain 2 piece suit with a long sleeved blue shirt, buttoned to the top. Personally I identify with the question Merle asked about dressing for the King. I question myself on this but can't get over the feeling that it is more respectful to wear formal dress. To me, shorts and sandals seem...
