By whose standard?
At what point does something devolve from fighting principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places to wrestling with flesh and blood?
Just for myself, I would be very uncomfortable doing battle on the level at which it is currently being engaged.

Re: The Mennonite Hotdog Thread!

Re: The Mennonite Hotdog Thread!
My favorite hot dogs have mayo on the bun, then the hot dog, hot dog chili with plenty of beef in it, shredded cheese, some sort of sweet and spicy barbecue sauce, onion relish, mustard, and as many onions as you can pile on.

Re: Things I will eat without hesitation....
I checked everything I knew how to identify. I don't know about liver mush, pork roll or head cheese. I don't know that I have ever had corn meal mush, we used to make it for our dogs on very cold winter days when I was a girl at home, but there is nothing particularly objectionable about it. I don'...

Re: Identifying and Finding Appropriate Clothing
So, why is it that the modest dress isn't carried on for more than a generation or two without a uniform? The answer to this is the root problem. The uniform might very well bandage this problem for another generation or two, but the problem it covers will not be treated. Obscured by the mask, it wi...

Re: The Power of Women in Conservative Anabaptist Groups
Re: the OP. I am guessing the amount of sway or influence women hold varies significantly across Mennodom. There are significant differences in the way women are viewed in different areas of the country, even within similarly conservative circles. It even varies from family to family. My observation...

Re: Preferring Husband Versus Preferring Church
My BIL is nice, guys. He is a Christian. He isn't really controlling over things that truly matter, just dumb stuff, like flour, which is why I used it for an illustration of idiocy. It is just kind of an OCD thing for him in the kitchen. It would still drive me nuts to be married to him, but his w...

Ohio Jones You are such a nut! The self-rising was for the biscuits. If you'll notice my dear Watson, those are unopened bags of self-rising White Lily flour and the pie crusts are already made. I keep finding my Facebook posts on this forum. I have to come over here just to spy on myself! :? I do h...

Liberal is anything more "liberal" than you are.
