Re: Poll: Auto Accident Fatalities and Injuries

Thinking about it now, I can only remember actually witnessing a single highway accident. (Seen lots of them soon after, including one, as a young person, where as we passed the accident site on the school bus, I saw a man from our congregation hanging out of the open door of his car, his head down ...

Re: Browser for Windows 7?

Win. 7 contains multiple local privilege escalation CVEs so logging out of admin isn’t enough. .... If that is true, then I've "flown under the radar" for somewhere around 15 years or more. (I asked a WBT programmer once how long you could be on-line w/o any virus protection before your c...

Re: Browser for Windows 7?

I still run an XP system. The older children educational games were decent. I have a Windows 3.0 and a Windows 95 laptop somewhere in a closet. Their only meaning of existence is to program older two-way radios (that no one uses anymore). Yeah biggest issue is a hard drive failure… you can’t activa...

Re: Browser for Windows 7?

As long as I do not initiate or accept any administrative action (program installation) the system is secure. I have not used any anti-virus software for possibly up to the past 15 years or more. I never log into the Admin account without first disconnecting the network cable. I also have an OS 10 s...

Re: God Bless the USA" Bibles

Strange forum-browser behavior: I can click on other pages in this thread, but if I select page 8, it closes my browser (Brave, on Win 7 64-bit, if that matters). (I didn't test this extensively on other threads.) I am using Brave and did not get an error. You may have to do a refresh of the page. ...

Browser for Windows 7?

Apparently my chickens are coming home to roost. Started this morning, that if I tried to open certain pages on threads here, I get kicked out of the browser (not just MennoNet). This evening it started to happen on other sites as well. I have been using Brave for personal stuff, but after it starte...

Re: Christians and Trans

I think that something that should be said early in any conversation where this issue comes up is that an urge or temptation to do any given thing is not the same as the life style that chooses to embrace that urge or temptation. A person may admit that they are, for example, an addict, but determin...

Re: Hairy baby poll

I do not remember about our own (three). However, I've seen some with a full head of thick hair, others, basically bald. A Brazilian friend, their first daughter had the blackest hair I've ever seen on a baby, and probably at least 2 inches long. (Sorry, I don't do metric.) The Indian babies also te...
