I didn't watch it. How many of their predictions didn't happen?
One way to respond is to lay up treasures in heaven.

Re: What book are you reading?
My wife gave me the book "Unconditional Surrender" by Pablo Yoder. This is a book about Pete Lewis. I sat down after work and read it straight thru. Got to bed about 11:30. :D I know pretty much all of the Oregon people and Oregon places that are mentioned in the book, so I found it especi...

Re: The Trinity
I came on this morning thinking to post this, then saw some of the other comments, and started to write up something more, but decided to let it go , at least for now. So now I'll just say what I was thinking to add to the discussion this morning. Here is where I see the most damage from this (extr...

Re: Who "owns" the Conservative Anabaptists?
MCUSA, in my opinion, has much more in common with evangelical churches than with conservative anabaptist churches. I feel like literally the only thing we have in common is the name Mennonite. I don't think MCUSA has much at all in common with evangelical churches. CMC, BMA, AMEC, and LMC do, but ...

Re: Who "owns" the Conservative Anabaptists?
I want to clarify, that I do not feel like Mennonites are synonymous with Plain or Conservative Anabaptists. Far from it. As a Plain Mennonite, I identify and feel much more comfortable with other non-Mennonite conservative anabaptist people than I do with more liberal Mennonites. Can you say more ...

Has it sped up your preaching? Can you squeeze a 45 minute sermon into 30 minutes now?
I'd love to sit in on one of your auctions.

Re: Who "owns" the Conservative Anabaptists?
There have been times in the past where could seem a bit like the Plain Anabaptists were spoken about as if they were not able to give answers, or as if they weren't in the room. When I first joined MennoDiscuss, it seemed weird that it was a Mennonite forum that was dominated by people that were n...

Re: Cornerstone Melodies
I was playing your song, and my wife heard it and asked who it was. I told her and she recognized it right away. She remembers listening to Cornerstone Melodies growing up.
