I'm wondering what parishes have "membership".. my roommate is becoming Catholic as is an old coworker. They are working towards being confirmed (is that the right term?) and then would be allowed to take the Eucharist (although one already takes it and apparently his priest doesn't care)....

I would not consider them ideal for this.

Some Canadian sources of news I like are Ezra Levant, Mark Steyn, and the associated Rebel Media. It's biased but honest about its biases.

I picked up 3 tapes at the MCC for 25¢ - old acapella tapes.

I also noticed a lot of late 80s / early 90s musical recordings from the non plain Mennonite world. I'd never heard of any of them before.

I wonder how many of these singing groups, recordings etc will become lost to the sands of time.
