Re: Poll: Who will win 2024 Presidency?
The poll is asking who do THINK will win, not who do you HOPE for or who SHOULD win. I understand. But I'm still curious whether the poll reflects people's feelings about their choice of President, or whether some people voted for who they think will win, even if that is their least favorite candid...

Re: Pilgrim Mennonite Conference current events
I'm curious what people see as the pros and cons of a larger versus smaller conference. Also it seems to me that the more relevant metric is total number of members in the conference, rather than total number of churches. An ordained man from the "Southern District" of Pilgrim told me he ...

Re: Pilgrim Mennonite Conference current events
I'm impressed. I think it is a good thing in a number of different ways, and I'd like to see similar efforts in other networks of churches.

Re: Pilgrim Mennonite Conference current events
I think that is correct. I heard that they decided they didn't want to do the normal thing of a Mennonite conference becoming a humongous, unwieldy organization, that places its own dealerships in every Anabaptist community. I understood they are going to divide regionally. Hats off to them! That i...

Pilgrim Mennonite Conference current events
I heard the other day that Pilgrim Mennonite Conference may soon be disintegrating into several different groups and that their next annual conference will be their last one. Does anyone know whether this is in fact the case?

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
You're seemingly so used to shoving people around that you feel entitled to it. So when brothereicher didn't bow to your rigged ground rules (rules you couldn't follow yourself—I just checked), you apparently concluded that gives you license to lie about him. I only know you on the Internet. But if...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
Well, that's all well and good, but I've only met him online, and I have only seen his online rhetoric and debate tactics, and the last several pages have been clearly engaged in in bad faith, as I have documented. We all get carried away, and one interaction isn't a whole life, and JM may be the n...

Re: Sheetz hit with federal discrimination lawsuit
The feds will try to assert that disparate impact means that there must be discrimination or racial animus if the results adversely impacts a protected population. After all, all white people are racist, by definition. As I said, I would have been fired had I not retired, because I would have stood...

Re: Sheetz hit with federal discrimination lawsuit
The thing to remember about companies such as Sheetz is that they do all of their job applications online through web forms. All similar big retail companies do the same. No human is actually reading or doing the first screen of applications. Apparently Sheetz set up a data screen that automaticall...
