Re: Divorce & Remarriage
Every tradition has an area where senseless reason takes root. This seems to be it for most CAs.... we know it doesn’t have historicity on its side, either.

Re: Divorce & Remarriage
Ironically, it looks like most CAs seem to be allowing worldly government to decide what’s marriage. If two heathen gentile getting legally bound together in a county clerks office is somehow a covenenatal bond at the throne of God, their perspective is quite detached, in my opinion. A civil union i...

Re: Divorce & Remarriage
It’s not time and children that’s my complaint. It’s holding converts to suffer the errors of their pre-convert past.
It’s just dumb.

Re: Divorce & Remarriage
Having to divorce a wife you’ve had for decades and separate a home of 10 children for the sake of church membership is not even remotely comparable to having to be baptized again.

Re: Divorce & Remarriage
Yes... this is a gross misinterpretation by many Mennonites I think. I heard of, at a local Mennonite church, two converts being told to separate (despite them having 12 kids together) because the husband was married and divorced prior to conversion. To me, drawing this hard and fast line comes at t...

Re: Winter * Spring * Summer * Fall
We plan to plant a perennial sunflower/gourd garden in a corner of our lot that has a high water table. Since both of those seem to make a comeback every year, we gonna give it a shot. Tomatoes and pepper plants I can buy local for less than I can start them myself. Swamp Daisy/ Swamp sunflower wou...

Re: Winter * Spring * Summer * Fall
I just realized we are halfway through February and I haven't ordered my seeds yet. I usually place my order by mid-January as the varieties I wanted in the past were rare heirlooms. Since we are doing more flowers/perennials the next few years, I need maybe one or two things and that's it. What’d’...

Re: Winter * Spring * Summer * Fall
I really like spring. Verdant growth, hummingbirds return, temperate weather (summer here is miserable at times), gardening, the first rolls of thunder.
So much to enjoy. I think the new Earth will have seasons, but mostly spring

Re: Errors in moral reasoning
It looks to me like the Pope is trying to drawn on the globalist mentality that’s already well established.
Scary stuff.
