Most things the "Pilgrim Church" has believed have been a minority position with Bible believing Christians so this is not too concerning to me.Judas Maccabeus wrote:and is a minority position within Bible believing christianity.

Is the nexus 7 a tablet or a phone?PeterG wrote:Definitely stay away from the super-cheap new Android devices, but I've had pretty good success with high-end electronics that are a few years old. (My phone is an iPhone 4S, for example.) I'd look for something like a second-generation Nexus 7.

Uber, Lyft, etc.
I started driving for Uber this week. I don't have long term plans to do this but am investigating it as an opportunity for our pastor to earn some additional income. Last night in State College, drivers were taking in $60-100 an hour due to a surge. Any other drivers out there? The older gentlemen ...

Re: Investing for Retirement
I do like what John Wesley did in setting an annual budget of 30 pounds for himself and giving away anything that came in above that. Whether the budget we set includes savings for retirement or not, perhaps the key point is the commitment to give away everything else that comes in above and beyond...

Re: Investing for Retirement
So if I have money saved for retirement and someone has a bill for $100,000+ do I give my retirement savings over for the aid of that brother and therefore don't have any retirement savings? Or do I keep it for myself and throw him a couple hundred dollars? I'll first answer your question assuming ...

Re: Of Baptism
At question here is the definition of "biblical marriage", "biblical salvation", and "biblical baptism". Their definition of marriage excludes half of conservative Mennonites. You mean the belief and practice of half of conservative Mennonites. Not half of conservative...

Re: Investing for Retirement
So an old person is expected to become a parasite, living on his children's earnings, or the earnings of others in the church. And then he struggles not only with the normal ups and downs of old age, but loses his self respect as well. Most churches will not let a person starve. But neither do they...

Re: Investing for Retirement
I recently visited with Finny and we discussed this. He says that both Roger Hertzler and John D. Martin are OK with a person saving money for a house (if you ask them in private) but publicly they don't tend to mention this. I'm OK with saving money for needs, education, etc, as long as the money c...

Re: Of Baptism
I suspect you are treated this way due to being an ethnic Anabaptist in good standing. Anyone ethnic or non-ethnic, who FotW learns to know, who believes that: -a person should be baptized as a believer and is part of a church that practices non-conformity, non-resistance, non-accumulation, head-co...
