Re: Separation from unbelieving family members
Is this a practice of the Mennonites? If someone is not of the faith and leaves church, will they still stay in contact with their family? Or if someone joins from the outside, can they still stay in contact with their unbelieving family? Maybe a weird question but just something I've always wonder...

Re: "gay Christian"
I think it's foolish to fake on an identity which consists of nothing other than choosing to engage in sin. I don't call myself a "fornicator Christian who just happens to choose to be celibate", and then expect other people to be supportive of my "celibate fornicator" identity ...

Re: Urgent Prayer Request: TN
Yes, my brother in law & family from Oregon were back there in a cabin with some friends and were caught by that fire. They escaped their cabin with pretty much the clothes on their back, and left clothes, purses, phones, wallets, bibles, computers, luggage, etc. in the cabin. Some of the clothe...

Re: What Is An Addiction?
I think it could be that in the process of abusing oneself, that the physical brain gets "rewired". This rewiring is a physical thing, not a mind thing. Then when the person wants to get clean, they now have a physically damaged brain to overcome. In this sense, it is similar to a disease ...

Re: Christian Community and Mental/Emotional Illness
Thank you for your input, RZehr & KB. Do your fellowships have any group homes for those with more severe forms of these issues? A clarification: That list focused on conditions that interfere with a person's ability to function in general, hence the inclusion of physical disabilities. Usually ...
