Re: Sattler College Turmoil
“Plain people, Amish and Mennonites are so close to the truth, yet almost none of them are saved [referring to baptism by pouring]. If we are able to get more church plants going, perhaps we could save a few of them.” FotW’s founders see themselves as delivering salvation (notable is that they term...

Re: 2/3 of Roman Catholic Churches in Baltimore to close
Yep. Catholics have a liberal wing and a not-liberal wing. The liberal wing is busy doing everything they can to destroy local church attendance, turn a blind eye to molestation conditions (such as promoting homosexuality in the priesthood), voting themselves larger salaries, and being busy selling ...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
I would have identified it as a fusion movement between the Church of Christ and Anabaptism, that has the "look and feel" of an Anabaptist church but has the controversial doctrine of the Church of Christ, also known as the Stone-Campbell movement. It would be much the same as Charity was...

Re: 2/3 of Roman Catholic Churches in Baltimore to close
https://www.archbalt.org/seek-the-city-proposal/ Their average attendance is about 2500 weekly. There is a mega church that has that large of attendance, and at least two that are over a thousand. While some here have pushed back on the notion I have advanced here that the RCC in my fair town is on...

Re: Worldbook Encyclopedia Censorship Topics
I wasn't able to find contact information, but there is a conservative Mennonite guy who downloaded Wikipedia onto a flash drive and censored topics conservative Mennonites find objectionable. It costs around $120. Is that actually legal and does it fall under the "fair use" copyright res...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
Unfortunately, I can’t say I want Sattler to succeed, because at its core it is a denominational college and seminary for promoting a specific denomination that both teaches false doctrine and also is at odds with Anabaptism and true Christianity as a whole. But beside that, I no longer want to see ...

According to The Approved Bookshelf, these are wholesome books with the exception of the 2003 yearbook, which had one proofreader fail it.

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
Yep. Getting a “full ride” means you are going to an institution where your peers will be mediocre (compared to you), and they’re desperate to get higher end students so then can boost their rankings, reputation, etc. (Full disclosure: I had a “full ride” to college. But I make no claims my alma mat...
