Ideally they would be rotating the chemicals used. If the same sprays are used every time, certain weeds may develop resistance to the active ingredients in those sprays. Maybe it's a matter of semantics, but I find it easier to think of selecting the weeds that have the resistance to the herbicide...

Praying against a leader is an interesting question. Think of an extreme example, such a Hitler. I think I could faithfully pray for his conversion, and failing that, that his evil plans be thwarted. Which also needs to be prayed for every US leader in my lifetime. Maybe you aren't as aged as I am,...

I guess you aren't a Dispensen-sationalist? I probably am a dispensationalist in a way. I do think that God dealt and will deal with people differently in different ages, although people get much too detailed. There was the age before the Law, the Law, the Gospel age, and there is the Age to Come. ...

Sometimes church leaders take too much power over the congregation. They might not be doing anything seriously wrong enough that an effort to remove them would be more helpful than harmful, but a rotating of leadership in a congregation would help this not become too great of a problem. I believe the scriptural precedent is that new converts be baptized promptly, confirming them as part of the body of Christ. In our current cultural context, with many denominations, and many congregations within those denominations, it seems to make sense for the congregation and the one interested...
