Re: Churches, Dealerships, and Franchises
Just teach in the school, even part time, and you will have plenty of fellowship. Our church is a fairly new one, so not everyone is related to anyone. I suspect that helps, my wife are not the only NMBs in our church. I’m open to teaching things like math and science but my English skills are subp...

Re: Churches, Dealerships, and Franchises
Barring something like a history of divorce, why can't one adapt? It is largely a matter of the will. Main issues I have seen are TV, clothes, what you do in your social life, and (Gasp) wedding rings. I see the bigger issue is jealousy… Mennonites have a great social/community but it’s basically b...

Re: Israel is Babylon the Great
Who are you in agreement with, O great Hasmonean? “” The Israel of today is not in covenant relationship with YHWH and hasn't been for nearly 2000 years.”” Exactly! Zionism has clouded the vision of the evangelical world. The present nation of Israel has no more or less favor with God than any othe...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
Even better, get a two year degree at the local community college, which leads to licensure as an RN. Conceivably that could be done with little or no debt. That is how my wife did it. THAN get your employer to pay for all or part of your RN to BSN program. Many, if not most will do that. Wife did ...

Re: Churches, Dealerships, and Franchises
My hat is off to all those who are attempting to do this in a humble way. But it so rare that people get integrated, that I have decided to give at least a portion of the remainder of my life to helping those who probably won't ever make it, and simply help them tweak their culture in a way that is...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
It is perfectly feasible to borrow $4,000 per year to pay for college and earn another $5,000 per year working part time and during the summers and wind up with a fully paid for nursing degree and $8,000 worth of student loans. That's a creative interpretation of "fully paid for." :) The ...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
Bottom line: College has gotten just too expensive to justify the cost and lost years of income. Student debt just so unpalatable that students just don’t see the benefits. Some of the colleges here are names I know. They have hit a place where raising tuition any further results in a diminishing r...

Re: Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapse
That is a 35 foot temporary channel. Will close in a few days, in order to get the ship out. 50 foot channel will open May 30th, if all goes well. That is far faster than I expected. All the drawings I am seeing are for a cable stayed bridge. There is even still debate about the name! With the bicke...
