Re: Sermon On the Mount: Matthew 5:1-11
It sounds like the technology is making this difficult. Would it be better if I used a low-tech approach to lead this?

Re: POLL: Relating to Power: The Christian and Politics
Exactly. The church's proper course of action is defined not in opposition to the world, but in conformity to Christ and the Scriptures. I agree. And sometimes it's helpful to adopt the language of the Scriptures if you want to think along the same lines. If you can't think about right versus wrong...

Re: Sermon On the Mount: Matthew 5:1-11
I set up the account and went to the designated page which gives Matthew 5.1-48. Bootstrap, how does one see your questions and annotations? Or add such? Sorry it took a while, I'm at a conference where I spoke and organized some sessions, so I've been very busy. If you look in the upper right hand...

Journalism, ethics, and truth
How reliable is a source? What rules should journalists follow? I see these questions almost every day here. I've always liked the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics , which talks about how you can identify reliable sources. Take a look, and let's discuss it piece by piece here. If s...

Re: Peacemaking after the Election
The subject is paid protesters, Boot. Please stay on topic. I thought the subject was peacemaking after the election. Your opinion of O'Keefe really does not change the fact that they did pay for people to protest and antagonize the other side, as the ads I posted seemed to show. I have no idea if ...

Classifying political liberals and conservatives
Temp said this in the post-truth thread: well, KB, to me, your statement presumes an organized conservative group, i see zero indication such a thing exists. however, the (minority) left is highly organized, to the point they follow a single script, whether they individually agree on it or not. to m...
