All I remember was Shirksville and Swatara are basically next to each other, but they were two different districts.... and there was some strange rivalry between the two. Friendly in nature, but weird.

Local Mexican restaurant makes the nicest I’ve tried. We have about 10 Mexican restaurants in town, and this one comes to your table and makes it fresh right at your table for you. That's something I wish we had around here. We have a Chinese joint on almost every corner, but no real Mexican food.

Got all my cannas potted up. Plan to buy a few tomato plants this weekend, aiming for Cherokee Purple or Old German. We have a local greenhouse that typically had plenty of heirloom varieties.

One of our local grocery stores makes an in-house guacamole that is most likely the best I've had. Just enough zip to it to keep it interesting. The down side is, once the seal is broke, it gets brown in a hurry.

I believe they already were in existence but got a boost from a ready constituency. Maybe a BMA person can correct my history.
