Re: Natural (God given) immunity is superior

Death is an outcome as well. I just listened to a podcast on this subject, it makes sense to me. According to the podcast, the main problem with natural immunity is that it's simply too risky, too many people are dying. Here's what I understood from the podcast: It's not really a "versus"...

Re: 343

My parents were visiting from Ontario and I had booked a weekend for us all at the a B&B in Cypress Hills. It was at the Reesor Ranch, owned by descendants of the Colonel which would have made them distant cousins. (Two or three times over of course - that's how it works with the Markham Reesors...

Re: Covid-19 Vaccines and Christian Ethics

I think that’s because Covid is airborne infectious disease — it’s not transmitted through blood. Why would they test for something that wasn’t transmitted through blood? Why is the vaccination placed in the blood, then? It’s not. No vaccines are injected directly into the bloodstream. Some are sub...

Re: Covid-19 Vaccines and Christian Ethics

Exactly. Recently I went to my doctor and I noticed only two people out of all his office staff had Masks on. I assumed I'd have to wear one but they told me I didn't need to and they didn't ask if I was vaccinated. When my doctor came in for the exam, I asked him if I needed my mask on and he said...

Re: Covid-19 Vaccines and Christian Ethics

Your questions contain the assumption that the presence of unvaccinated members carries an elevated risk of transmission which creates a special need for mitigation and reassurance to the public. It's not an assumption that is supported by current data. I would advise people who are symptomatic to ...

Re: Covid-19 Vaccines and Christian Ethics

Do you think that is taking enough active mitigation steps to convinced a public health official that they safe in waiving a vaccine requirement for your church that they impose on everyone else? They don't in fact impose a vaccine requirement on anyone in Alberta. But I would say that the onus lie...

Re: Covid-19 Vaccines and Christian Ethics

I don't think the "vaccine passport" is actually the issue. A vaccine passport is just some type of recognizable proof of vaccination. The real issue is whether the government can (and should) require vaccines for indoor public meetings and indoor public venues. And, if so, how far those ...

Re: Covid-19 Vaccines and Christian Ethics

Vaccine passports have come to our neighbours next door in BC. Our premier here has said that we will not have passports but if I’ve learned anything over the course of this pandemic, it’s that when a politician says “never” he means “not yet”. So far the Christians I know are mixed in their views o...
