Re: The Trinity
I came on this morning thinking to post this, then saw some of the other comments, and started to write up something more, but decided to let it go , at least for now. So now I'll just say what I was thinking to add to the discussion this morning. Here is where I see the most damage from this (extr...

Re: Hospitality and unfortunate reality
Computer addiction is a widespread problem now among otherwise healthy adults. There are actually "boot camps" in Japan to assist breaking children of this addiction. J.M. Perhaps you could expand on this boot camp method in the threads for solutions to addictions. It's sounds interesting...

Re: Credible News Sources
I found this a relevant graphic: http://i.imgur.com/7xHaUXf.jpg I think I would score many of these much differently. I would suggest that if you lived in the UK, you would likely feel that the BBC was middle, and Fox far right. But we play or politics on a different part of the field. J.M.

Re: Hospitality and unfortunate reality
Methinks that one addicted to video games would never make it through his postulant year. Could you imagine one of those video games profaning the "Great Silence." J.M. Indeed  It's always better to stop a problem situation before it starts. Monastic and religious communities emphasi...

Re: The Trinity
Great topic, Wade. In our church we have the illustration of St Patrick who used the three lobed clover leaf to explain the concept of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as 3 in 1. Max, you may need Resuscitation after this. Actually, the catholic church gave us one of the great statements of what the Tr...

Re: Hospitality and unfortunate reality
We also have monasteries and religious communities for men and also for women who want to dedicate themselves completely to the Lord's service (predicated of course on the fact that they have a personal relationship with the Lord.) The adult spends at least five years' trial period living with the ...

Re: Google Chromebooks
Has anyone heard of Chromebooks being used as a viable method of filtering/monitoring Internet usage amongst groups of users? I would not consider them ideal for this. Although you could set up a proxy server under their flavor of Linux to do just that, just about any desktop would be better, even ...

Re: Hospitality and unfortunate reality
I'm wondering what parishes have "membership".. my roommate is becoming Catholic as is an old coworker. They are working towards being confirmed (is that the right term?) and then would be allowed to take the Eucharist (although one already takes it and apparently his priest doesn't care)...

Re: Hospitality and unfortunate reality
i don't understand the focus on max. and i don't understand the need for onlookers to defend max max is a big boy. he can defend himself. getting others involved just leads to more drama. which wasn't necessary in this thread. max started a topic of conversation that included a question on how thin...

Re: Dr Ben Carson - Post 2016 Election
Effective enough to be endorsed by people who should know better! I have long suspected that the religious right was fundamentally a political movement with religious trappings. Mr. Trump all but proves it. J.M. I think that stereotypes and groups a lot of people into one when most the ones who vot...
