Re: Was it worth Dividing the Church??
I begs the question what even is baptism then? Maybe Catholics and Eastern Orthodox just don’t even view baptism close to what the Anabaptist’s and early church viewed it as? Was it not partly a public testimony of a clear conscience with God? Don’t we see this in Scripture? - That takes Free will ...

Re: Was it worth Dividing the Church??
Some of my random thoughts inspired by the thoughtful discourse of this thread: From the beginning, the Early Church tended to divide themselves into smaller groups, usually according to culture or even which disciple first brought the Good News to them. (1 Corinthians 3). We see similar behaviors ...

Re: Was it worth Dividing the Church??
To whoever cares to respond as I am curious as to how far a pacifist Christian regards how God will judge professing believers who were and/or are involved in killings in acts of war. Have you determined then that those professing believers that participated in wars and killing people in wars and b...

Re: Was it worth Dividing the Church??
And for the record, just because someone or some church identifies as Anabaptist, Church of Christ, Slavic Pentecostal, etc., does not make me think that they are probably born again, following Jesus, still have their candlestick, etc. I won't make that deduction until I have seen what kind of frui...

Re: Was it worth Dividing the Church??
The call of Christ was to repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. His call was to follow Him. His call was to forsake all or you are not worthy to be His disciple. None of which a child much less an infant can do! His focus was the kingdom of God and it was not primarily about salvation. The d...

Re: POLL: How many hours a week do you work?
75+ hours a week. Living costs have pretty well doubled for us the last couple years. We are nearing $4000/month just for food. I work a full time job and now have started my own business just to make it by here in Canada with huge inflation. $48/hr at 40, 50, or 60hrs per week just doesn’t provide ...
