Re: Today ...

Picked up a box of long English cucumbers for free as some how my parents ended up with some when a reefer broke down. Not sure I am happy that it is someone else's loss but we will do our part that they not go to waste. :D Well, it has been 6 years of searching out a Mennonite fellowship... With th...

Re: Bunny Trails

Most of so called "creation science" has completely changed since the early 1980s to present day. It's really not scriptural at all, and is about as biblically sound as "Christian music". I think the word science after creation is a bit of red flag as much as the word music foll...

Re: Bunny Trails

My emotions get fired up by pseudoscience. Me too. " Pseudoscience consists of statements, beliefs, or practices that are claimed to be scientific and factual in the absence of evidence gathered and constrained by appropriate scientific methods. [1][Note 1] Pseudoscience is often characterized...

Re: Bunny Trails

There will always be illustrations that anti-vax people can give. Those illustrations can be pretty emotional. I've seen that in my own family, and I have no problem understanding why they feel that way. But when you look at statistics you can't avoid the fact that vaccinations have saved a lot of ...

Re: Bunny Trails

How much "compassion" do you show to a drunk driver who plows through a telephone pole and crashes into someone's house, injuring himself and damaging property he has no way to repay? (Personally, I show quite a bit. I just see a real desire to excuse the reckless behaviour of anti vaxxer...

Not sure where this is from? It was sent to me by a brother in Christ a bit ago:

Re: Whooping Cough Outbreak Strikes Missouri Amish Community

The lack of compassion in this thread is truly disheartening... :( Should not when we realize the undeserved forgiveness and mercy extended through Christ for our poor souls that it would move us to share that forgiveness and mercy to others. Thank you Max for sharing so that we can pray for others....

Re: The Pilgrim Church, E. Hamer Broadbent

Is there any denomination that doesn't sway history when they write it to make themselves sound good? When we look at scripture, the church had many issues. I think this was just being humble and honest. For more thoughts on this look up David Bercot - "What True Greatness Looks Like" I be...

Re: Whooping Cough Outbreak Strikes Missouri Amish Community

I respect the convictions of yours. My question is, would you refuse a murdered mans organs-organ donor or not? Is the problem the murder? Or is it the lack of consent of the killed? Or is the motive of the murderers? The problem is more related to my conscience on support of murder rather than jud...

Re: Whooping Cough Outbreak Strikes Missouri Amish Community

I will admit I get a bit over the top on antivaxers, but I have seen the consequences. J.M. I do appreciate care on making sure medical needs are taken care of, but I'm cautious about brushing any medical treatment with an outright stamp of approval. At one point antibiotic soap was the best thing,...
