Absolutely! Although I would be a bit careful to not give the devil credit for my being drawn away and tempted by my flesh.
Just as an example: most days I (my flesh) would rather spend an extra half hour in bed in the morning than to get up and spend that time in the Word or on my knees.

Sloth is a sorrow, sadness, or aversion to the good things God offers. Rather than being joyful and zealous to obtain these gifts, the slothful person sees them as too much trouble to obtain and is averse to the changes such gifts might introduce into his life. Maybe we have this whole thing upside down. Maybe it isn't so much that these men did not have a dad as that these men were not dads themselves. (I did not personally dig into the data to verify this.) Who has more influence on who? Who gives purpose in life to the other? A dad on his son, or a son ...
