Re: War in Gaza
I don’t hate Netanyahu. I do think he is a warmonger who has done much to hurt the cause of peace. And my opinion on that is almost entirely based on things (Jewish) Israelis have told me. It’s possible to believe Hamas is very bad but also think Netanyahu is bad and is not a good leader. Even now,...

Re: War in Gaza
Second: Is it fair to take this as condoning military participation? Where I’m coming from is the assumption that if a man was converted while in the military, his instruction was to not harm anyone. Because he really didn’t have the freedom to quit the military. Now if that assumption is more or l...

Re: MennoNet and Genealogy
OK, so just put it in a slightly different light. Does that mean I’ll end up being baptized by proxy if I use the site? I did think it looked pretty interesting but that’s a little bit strange. I also was waffling between using my own name, and some random obviously made up name, which would feel a...

Re: Church Government Models
What other models are you aware of? What are some indicators that Jesus is truly the head, and that the Holy Spirit is indeed working through the system? In many traditions among established reformed/evangelical/etc. groups/denominations, the church government can be said to be at least partly Tech...
