Re: War in Gaza

Believe it or not, Israel supposedly made a tragic mistake, at least according to Netanyahu.

Do important people still sign checks?

I was surprised when reading this article today that Trump signed "bundles" of checks while he was President. I figured that CEO's and other VIP's would not have time to sign bundles of checks. https://abcnews.go.com/US/ahead-summations-trump-trial-brief-witness-stand/story?id=110516687 Ma...

Re: War in Gaza

I don’t hate Netanyahu. I do think he is a warmonger who has done much to hurt the cause of peace. And my opinion on that is almost entirely based on things (Jewish) Israelis have told me. It’s possible to believe Hamas is very bad but also think Netanyahu is bad and is not a good leader. Even now,...

ADC is more congregational and has a more "Beachy" feel..and is influenced by "kingdom" theology.
One of the founders of ADC tells me that only about 5% of ADC is influenced by "kingdom theology".

Re: Revival Meetings in Evangelical/Mainline Anabaptist

I'm curious if anyone knows when MCUSA and evangelical Mennonites such as LMC discarded the practice of week-long revival meetings. I'm also curious about the stated and unstated reasons for this change. I think they phased out gradually in the last half of the 20th century. Some congregations were...

Re: War in Gaza

The perspective Valerie has is not an uncommon one, and to be frank, it is one that I keep hearing from various evangelical sorts of people. They speak as if the Bible actually condones anything the present-day State of Israel wants to do when it goes to war. I find this approach to scripture troub...
