Re: Pilgrim Mennonite Conference current events
I'm impressed. I think it is a good thing in a number of different ways, and I'd like to see similar efforts in other networks of churches. The Mennonite Church did this for a long time. John Oberholtzer in 1860, was the first Mennonite to introduce the dealership thing all over North America (Gene...

Hats off to them!

Re: Poll: Changing Churches / Belief Systems
Not sure where I fit here, if at all. I am a member of a congregation that has a quite different history, but I am, for the most part, unchanged in my own beliefs - they are still predominantly identical to my own background. (There are no congregations of my "faith tradition" within hund...

Poll: Changing Churches / Belief Systems
A thread about transitioning from one church to another or one belief system to another. Please be kind and respectful! Definitions: church (a local congregation, or conference. not the universal church) constituency (a group of churches that work together) faith tradition (examples: Anabaptist, Pen...

Re: Chess Marathons

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
An Orthodox, an Anglican, an Evangelical, and an (x?)Mennonite walk into a bar onto a panel... :-) I consider myself an Anabaptist. What is the difference? Yes, or no? No, I am not a Mennonite. I used to be Mennonite as well as Amish-Mennonite. Yes, I am now an Anabaptist. I assume you know the dif...
