Re: Sattler College Turmoil
An Orthodox, an Anglican, an Evangelical, and an (x?)Mennonite walk into a bar onto a panel... :-) I consider myself an Anabaptist. What is the difference? Yes, or no? No, I am not a Mennonite. I used to be Mennonite as well as Amish-Mennonite. Yes, I am now an Anabaptist. I assume you know the dif...

Re: Russia Invades Ukraine 2022
An interesting article about how families of Russian military deceased suddenly become rich. It is one way Putin keeps Russians from rebelling.

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
Men may call me a knave or a fool, a rascal, a scoundrel, and I am content; but they shall never by my consent call me reformed. Borrowed, in part, from John Wesley. Do we have your consent to call you "Saved" and "Regenerated"? Respectfully, in my view this is where reformed th...

Re: Preparation for Baptism
I'm open to baptizing someone the same day, or take 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, whatever it takes to get a person ready for baptism.
I've never understood why churches feel a need to have a set period of time for baptism preparation such as, no shorter than _____ and not longer than ________.

Re: Russia Invades Ukraine 2022
It is no wonder other smaller countries want to join. And if you are a European country, it is a great club to be in and the surest way to bring peace to your people and avoid conflict on your territory. If you want to join, you might want to make sure that you don't upset Russia before you join, o...

Re: The Great Dechurching
Interesting take on why fewer and fewer Americans go to church. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2023/07/christian-church-communitiy-participation-drop/674843/ Nearly everyone I grew up with in my childhood church in Lincoln, Nebraska, is no longer Christian. That’s not unusual. Forty mill...

Re: Business opportunities serving low-tech Anabaptist groups
Anabaptists who don't use certain technologies present a unique set of business opportunities for those interested in meeting their resulting needs. We've seen this a long time in providing transportation for plain groups who will not drive vehicles, but will hire others to do so. In this discussio...

I don't think ChatGPT is good for producing youtube videos.
e.g. A very pointless video in my opinion.

Re: Poll: Who will win 2024 Presidency?
I didn't vote in this poll/thread because I don't know who will win.
And for the record, I don't know which one would be the best/worst for this country, so I have no incentive to vote in this poll/thread for that reason either.
