Re: Matthew 25 - limit our love to obedient Christians?
In the same way that everyone who is hungry or thirsty, a stranger or naked, sick or in prison is not Jesus’s brother, not everyone who even lives in proximity to us is our neighbor – but only those who are obedient. Wayne, I confess I'm missing the corollary as well. I can understand where you poi...

Re: Anabaptist/Church History Lectures
Have any of you on here ever delivered or participated in delivering a church history lecture (preferably somewhat Anabaptist focused)? Mine have been mostly individual presentations on biography (Marpeck is a favorite, naturally), genealogy, or specific assigned subjects, rather than a comprehensi...

Re: Acts 15 - Jerusalem Council
Aren't we missing what triggered this whole council in the first place? It was a response to what had happened earlier when some brothers caused a lot of offense by trying to impose cultural traditions on the church under the guise of religious requirements. IMO it was the Jerusalem brothers extend...

Re: Acts 15 - Jerusalem Council
what heirbyadoption is conveying is probably their young people seeing/observing other young Christians who love the Lord without what they consider extra Biblical and have strong faith and are serving in ministries. No... not really. I'm talking about young people who AREN'T necessarily looking to...

Re: Anabaptist/Church History Lectures
I'm skeptical of the whole "remnant" idea. It seems to encourage an unrealistically black-and-white view of organizations and people, and interpretations of them as if they existed in our context rather than their own. It's been a while since I read these authors, but as I recall Verduin ...

Re: Anabaptist/Church History Lectures
Am curious how in depth some of you anabaptist historians (sorry, Max ) get on the Remnant churches and their effects, such as Broadbent covers? Or do you generally just begin with the Reformation?

LG G4 Phone Battery Drain
Any G4 familiar folk out there? Curious any tips to slow battery drain. I suspect I could ditch the Facebook app and just access it through Chrome, but it's just so handy.

The End Of Reason is well worth your time.
Am currently wading through Christian Nonresistance (Adin Ballou), Authentic (by James MacDonald), and The Essential Carlstadt (edited by Edward Furcha).
