Re: Prayer Requests & Personal Testimonies

Please pray for GaryK and myself. We are both in 2 different hospitals for conditions with our bowels. I had a perforated duodenum and had to have surgery to fix me, and Gary had blood in his stool- not fixed but red and raw. That was all he was able to tell me when we talked on the phone. I'm reco...

Foursquare refers to four aspects of Christ's ministry: Savior, Sanctifier (or in some versions Baptizer), Healer, and King.

Re: “Five-fold ministry”?

I've heard the term for decades and Ephesians 4:11 as a reference. Also "Full Gospel" ministry teaching. Where we come from, if Ephesians 4:11 is seen as only during Apostolic times, then our churches would see those as missing the full Gospel. I remember an acquaintance I had for awhile, ...

Re: recommendations for cars/suv

Our favorite car to date is what we drive now. 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. It is considered a mid size SUV. It's gas mileage is incredible for an AWD SUV that has 219 horsepower which helps when needed. Our average MPG is 40, occasionally even 50 MPG. Less trips to gas station. Lots of cargo space. Sma...

Yes and many old, especially Protestant churches, that have beautiful stained glass windows. Our downtown, Catholic, United, Presbyterian, Anglican and First Baptist church all have stained glass window paintings and I have always enjoyed these in my visits. As long as we are worshipping the God in...

Re: Charlotte Shootout

A question though... Is there really no way for law enforcement officers to avoid this sort of thing? It sounds like they eventually drove an armored vehicle right into the house. For example, Could they not use such vehicles to serve the warrant initially, so they would have some protection? Sheri...

Re: AP Video: How to Read Revelation & Avoid the Mark of the Beast

What do we do with this passage? Of course it was written before Revelation but it seems the very application of this passage makes us aware that individuals are not to interpret prophecy? 2 Peter 1: 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a ligh...

Re: Which evangelisation method is most effective?

I became a Christian during the Jesus Movement. What drew me in, was observing so many young Christians and their walk, their faith, their fellowship, their joy, their love & unity. Zeal. At the time, I "believed" but had not surrendered- I knew I was empty & void, needing Christ a...
