Re: Poll: Daniel Perry - Should he have been pardoned?

Do you have the slightest bit of evidence to support this supposition? Not at my fingertips. But I am confident you could find something if you care to look into it. Check into SanFran and LA, or some the major rust belt cities. I don't think there is any local or systematic efforts among police de...

Re: Poll: Daniel Perry - Should he have been pardoned?

Crime statistics are actually collected by the police departments and the FBI and not left-wing activists. Unless they are crimes in a liberal city that is sensitive to their crime stats. Then they simply move the goal posts, redefine crime, don't cooperate, and don't report crimes. Since this happ...

Re: Mennonite Girl ,3, swept over waterfalls,2 years ago, parents now charged

My father, a school principal, used to say, "Children don't think [about the dangerous consequences of their actions], so you have to think for them." Children simply do not have the knowledge and experience of adults, and must be appropriately protected. Unless it’s time for a gender cha...

Re: Poll: Daniel Perry - Should he have been pardoned?

As a general rule, if you don't have left-wing politics, you'd better fear for your life if you are in a blue city (like Austin) and you find yourself stuck in a violent protest. Democratic and left-wing prosecutors have made it very clear they won't prosecute crimes like fleeing the police, carjac...

Re: Mennonite Girl ,3, swept over waterfalls,2 years ago, parents now charged

I'm reading what seems like a lot of talk about "ignoring warnings" here. What exactly does that look like in this case. Has anyone actually been at the the site of the accident? I'm reading about signs and fences. But fences don't go forever, they end. And I'm reading that the child may h...

I’m trying to decide if I’m a liberal Mennonite or not. Often anyone more liberal than ourself is liberal, and we are “just right”. I’m curious what sort of church Jeff Altweg goes to now.

Re: Poll: Daniel Perry - Should he have been pardoned?

I say no based on what the article said. Specifically, that the other guy didn’t raise his gun first; that this guy had time to lower his window; and that this guys posts on social media. If these are true. Now if the other guy did in fact raise his gun first, it does seem like self defense. But if ...

No, he shouldn’t have.
