Re: Mennonite Girl ,3, swept over waterfalls,2 years ago, parents now charged

I’m trying to decide if I’m a liberal Mennonite or not. Often anyone more liberal than ourself is liberal, and we are “just right”. I’m curious what sort of church Jeff Altweg goes to now.

Re: Poll: Daniel Perry - Should he have been pardoned?

I say no based on what the article said. Specifically, that the other guy didn’t raise his gun first; that this guy had time to lower his window; and that this guys posts on social media. If these are true. Now if the other guy did in fact raise his gun first, it does seem like self defense. But if ...

That might constitute negligence and the person causing you to fall might end up in prison on felony charges.
So… who are we charging if I “fall” off of Mennonet?

Re: Another Barge/Bridge Collision

[l Might as well bring the Mormans into this mess. “The Lord told the brother of Jared to build barges to take his people to the promised land.” -Ether 2:16 Was the promised land the lighthouse? They had no need of lighthouses to keep them off the rocks. In fact they loaded the rocks onto the barge...

Re: Another Barge/Bridge Collision

Speaking truth does serve the Gospel though, and I fail to see how using made-up definitions of words is speaking truth. Re: Justice

Moving away from the criminal aspect of justice.

If I get divorced, end up paying alimony and child support, start gambling, then lose my house because I can’t make the payments anymore - is that justice or injustice? Is there any difference from my point of view, or the banks point of view?

Re: Another Barge/Bridge Collision

Time to get a new lexicon. Also, btw it's not at all surprising that it's the "things that carry cargo above decks" that damage bridges, as they are generally larger and heavier than pleasure craft and more numerous than cruise ships, especially on inland waterways. Feeling bossy today? Y...

Re: Is it wrong to use nuclear bombs against civilians?

With respect to some of the previous comments above, this thread doesn't seem to be about whether war is justified on the part of unregenerate geo-political entities or not, aggressively or defensively. As I understand Josh, the question is specifically about using bombs that inherently target inno...
