Re: Should negligent parents be punished by the law?
I’m okay in principle to having laws that punish negligent parents and protect children. But I would idealize them as having a pretty high bar for prosecution. The laws we have currently are prone to at least occasional abuse by over zealous prosecutors and DHS. But on the other hand, I’m not sure i...

Re: Justice
I think I agree. We generally prefer and plead for mercy for ourselves. And then beat the justice drum for others.

Children are truly a blessing. :angel This 7 year old boy decided to help out the Pope and even took the Pope’s seat  https://www.nbcnews.com/video/little-boy-steals-the-show-at-vatican-58739267856 Wife: Pretty cute to watch, but I would hate to be that child’s parent...

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?
If it's so simple, why are we such abject failures at helping people with addiction? "They just didn't want to be free badly enough." Sounds like a cliche cop out. Glib clichés haven't solved the drug epidemic up until now, and I don't foresee them solving it in the near future. As much a...

“It isn’t works that save us. It is faith alone in Jesus Christ.”
*man does something selfless and dies*
“Surely God will overlook this man’s lack of faith in Jesus and save this man because of what he did.”
