Re: The Israeli state?

My perspective is that many Israelites accepted Christ and indeed created what is now the church. They were the first Christians. The unbelievers perished in 70 AD when the temple was destroyed, never to be rebuilt again. The continuation of “Israel” in the church and Christians, going all the way ...

Re: Proselytization

Some would day Jesus didn't proselytize. Au contraire, he put up road blocks to people joining such as urging them to sell all, or leave their families. Instead he discipled. He did however clearly call people to repent. The question could be asked this way: How does carrying out Jesus' "great...

Re: Proselytization

I think Jesus' critique was the empty religiosity of the pharisees moved people further from God than they were before. I agree. I don't think he was saying winning converts is bad - after all, didn't he do that himself? Absolutely, yet he was clearly criticizing how the Pharisees in what they were...

Re: Is Biden Fit to be President?

Speaking of fitness for president. This is from today. At least neither Biden nor Trump have actual worms eating their brains. You just can't make this stuff up can you? And if RFK Jr. was more than just a egotistical vanity candidate, he would actually be the 2nd oldest president ever elected (aft...

Re: Is Biden Fit to be President?

It sounds like Fetterman has mostly recovered. On the issue of supporting Israel, Ben Shapiro has said that Fetterman is one of the biggest surprises in politics recently. Speaking purely politically, I think that one of the best things Biden could do for himself is embrace a few causes such as sup...

Re: Is Biden Fit to be President?

I typically don't weigh in on this stuff, but I view this along the same line as the Fetterman fiasco: the democrats are proving to the world they can put anyone anywhere they want and get away with it. It sounds like Fetterman has mostly recovered. On the issue of supporting Israel, Ben Shapiro ha...

Proselytization

Jesus states in Matthew 23:15, Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves. I would like to discuss this curious tendency of the Pharisees that ...
